Biography

John Gibson was born from an egg on a mountain top ... no, hold on, that's the 80s TV character Monkey.  Let's start that again...

John Gibson makes people laugh.  From the moment he stepped onto a stage in 2013 he never wanted to leave it.  But he had to leave it, because living on a stage simply wasn’t practical.

A natural joke writer John was being paid to write and perform comedy within a year of that first appearance.  Now a regular on the comedy scene, he can be found providing laughs at various comedy venues up and down the UK, including performing weekend 15-minute slots for The Stand Comedy Club alongside household names.

Armed with strong gags and a relaxed stage presence he impresses as a confident performer.  Having been blessed with many physical imperfections John has a lot of raw material for his self-deprecating humour, which he blends effortlessly with observational comedy, satire and one-liners.

A frequent guest on the topical comedy panel show Sod The Tories and a regular joke writer for show, John is just as likely to be making you laugh about today’s news as he is describing his many failings as a human being.
